Been awhiles

Thought it was time to try out the blogging thing again...  Our days have been filled w/ special skype calls from our favorite (only) grandson Alex who is now 3 1/2 mos. old.  He is definitely the happiest, content and most smiling baby I have ever met.  Must be great parenting (and possibly a lil bit of grandparenting lol).  Soon I will be experimenting w/ homemade baby food.  Time has been spent searching the internet and Pinterest to find out the particulars to preparing and freezing fruits and veggies for our little man.

We have been lucky to be able to spend about every other week w/ the "new" family and even a few visits from Aunty Ashley.  It fills our day and hearts w/ Joy.  Christmas will be a little different this year as well.... we will travel to Buffalo where all our children and their significant others will trickle in Filling the Kurosky house w/ Choe's and lots of love and laughter (possibly even a few tears). We will save our Christmas dinner and gift giving for the day after when everyone will have arrived.

But first we will honor Thanksgiving with a Big gathering at my Mom and Dads.... can't wait for the wonderful scents of Turkey and all the fixings. A day to remember all that we have to be grateful for (in case we've forgotten to acknowledge it on a regular basis) and to share the start of the holiday season with precious family.  It also is our pre-Christmas celebration w/ our parents (grandparent or greatg randparents to some) before they head south to avoid the bitter cold and snow that befalls us in Upstate NY.  We will wish them safe travels and promise to call and now Skype frequently to keep up on all the news.

I like to end this blog w/ a few of the things I'm most grateful for.... First (and foremost) for our Heavenly Father who watches over us and provides for us each and every day.... and directly following Him is our wonderful family and extended family.  I have been blessed w/ parents who have stayed Happily married for 55years. Quite an accomplishment in these times....and a great example for all of the 3 generations to follow.  I am so happy to have continued that tradition by celebrating 31 years w/ my husband Choe, Ki Nam... we have survived many trials and tribulations, to include his near fatal heart attack and my life-threatening staph infection.  Thru it all we have come out stronger and closer then we've ever been.  Our gratitude continues for our 3 beautiful, intelligent and successful children, who make us proud EveryDay! and even though they are spread all across the country, we will always be here for them as well as them for us and each other.

My wish for all of you out there who may happen upon my blog (and even those that don't) is that your life will be filled w/ the love of family and friends and that you remember to have an attitude of gratitude.  Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holly-dayz!
